The radioimmunoprecipitation buffer, also known as RIPA buffer, is a cell lysis buffer designed for lysis of mammalian cells from adhesion or suspension cultures.

It enables the extraction and solubilization of proteins from the membrane, the cell nucleus and the cytoplasm.
